Mentorship & Confidence
Encouraging instruction helps children develop discipline, self-trust, and stage readiness through clear coaching and positive feedback.
LUMINARY Dance Program is a welcoming home for children and families who want more than one path to expression. Through ballet, jazz, contemporary, performance experiences, and other creative training, dancers build strong technique while discovering their own voice.
We believe every child has a story to tell through movement. With caring mentorship, respectful structure, and a supportive peer community, students grow in confidence, artistry, and belonging at every stage of their journey.

My name is Valerie Holguin I've been dancing for most of my life! I started off with dancing Folklorico when I was 7 years old up until I was about 13. In high school I auditioned for my schools dance company, I danced there for two years and was a director for both years. There I opened my horizons to many different styles of dance ranging from Hip-Hop, Jazz, Modern, and lyrical styles.
Dance as a whole has taught me many different lessons and has helped me meet many different people who otherwise I would've never crossed paths with.
Students learn to connect movement with emotion, creating honest, graceful storytelling through dance.
Focused drills strengthen alignment, control, and dynamic quality for clean, confident jazz execution.
Classes blend fluidity and intention, helping dancers discover nuance, texture, and artistic voice.
Valerie coaches stage confidence so dancers perform with poise, projection, and authentic connection.

Hi everyone! I'm Ms. Alexis, and I have been dancing for a total of seventeen years. I began my journey with ballet and have since trained in contemporary, lyrical, hip-hop, and jazz. I also performed in my home studio's production of The Nutcracker on five separate occasions. For the past five years, I have worked at a dance studio as both an instructor and a receptionist. Dance has always been my outlet for self-expression and artistry, and my goal is to give children that same opportunity!
Classical alignment, turnout awareness, and structured barre-to-center progressions help dancers build clean, confident ballet fundamentals.
Precise corrections and clear breakdowns of ballet vocabulary develop strong placement, controlled movement quality, and safe strength.
Instruction is delivered with patience and respect so every dancer feels encouraged, supported, and motivated to grow with discipline.
Musical phrasing, epaulement, and performance coaching shape elegant movement and help dancers communicate artistry on stage.
